Green Motion was launched in 2007 with the clear objective of offering a truly ecological car hire option on the international markets. The launch of the brand coincided with a global consensus about the contribution of transportation on the emission of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) and its impact on climate change.
The Green Motion UK operate as a Carbon Neutral Network. Franchisees focus on low carbon practises within their business such as renewable energy choices, ecologically friendly products and waterless or recycled water vehicle washing facilities where possible and use of recycled materials and products. Vehicle rental is a viable alternative to vehicle ownership by providing transport for essential journeys to customers choosing not to purchase a vehicle which is rarely used. Green Motion UK then offset those vital miles, rendering our customers essential journey carbon neutral. If customers wish to contribute to offsetting their CO2 footprint when renting from Green Motion in the UK they can do so during the booking process. All donations collected go towards projects that are helping to reduce the effect of fossil fuels in less developed economies.
These projects help the reduction of global climate change impact and are examples of shared environmental science development.
Renewable Solar Power Project by Adani Green Energy Limited
Type: Solar Power
Country: India
Reference: VCS1815
The purpose of this project activity is to generate clean forms of electricity through renewable solar energy sources.
