Green Motion & U-Save Host 2026 European Regional Meeting in Manchester

Over 50 Green Motion and U-Save franchisees from across Europe gathered in Manchester for our 2026 European Regional Meeting, a week dedicated to performance, partnership and progress.

The event brought together franchise partners, senior leadership and Head Office teams for two days of focused discussion and collaboration.

Day One: 1-2-1 Strategy Sessions

Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel

The week opened with a full day of structured 1-2-1 meetings at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel.

Franchisees met directly with the Senior Leadership Team and departmental leads across operations, marketing, commercial, revenue and technology. These sessions provided an opportunity to review individual market performance, align on strategic priorities and identify practical actions for the months ahead.

The format ensured that every market had dedicated time with decision-makers, creating meaningful dialogue and clear direction.

Day Two: Conference at Booking.com Headquarters

The second day was hosted at Booking.com’s Manchester headquarters, beginning with networking over tea, coffee and breakfast pastries before moving into the main conference.

Founder & CEO of Green Motion International and President of U-Save Car & Truck Rental, Richard Lowden, opened the conference with a strategic update. This was followed by presentations from the Senior Leadership Team covering commercial performance, marketing initiatives, technological developments and operational focus areas across Europe.

We were pleased to welcome Alex Bradshaw, Booking.com’s Director of Supply Management (Commercial), and Matt Jolley, Head of Key Accounts for Booking.com, who shared valuable insights into Booking.com’s car rental performance trends and commercial outlook.

Zubie’s Chief Revenue Officer, Mark Novac, and Bosch’s Director of Business Development, Christiane Soppa, also introduced their smoke detection software solution, demonstrating how innovation is supporting fleet protection and operational efficiency.

The afternoon featured collaborative seminars designed to strengthen alignment between Head Office and franchisees, as well as encourage knowledge-sharing between global partners.

Recognising Excellence

A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards, with winners receiving their awards at Booking.com HQ from Matt Jolley.

These awards reflect consistently high customer review scores and recognise locations delivering outstanding service standards across the network.

An Evening of Celebration

The event concluded with an evening reception at The Trading Route, where franchisees and Head Office teams continued conversations in a relaxed setting. Guests enjoyed dinner alongside live entertainment, including a magician and five comedians, a fitting way to round off a productive week.

The European Regional Meeting once again demonstrated the strength of collaboration across the Green Motion and U-Save European network, reinforcing shared ambition and momentum as we move forward into the year ahead.
