The car rental industry is notoriously confusing and difficult to understand, often leaving customers frustrated and perplexed. Customers looking for the very best deals typically go online and find a myriad of brands and purchase options. However, there is a lack of clarity regarding what brands provide what level of service, and what is included / excluded from the rental.
The industry is educating customers to focus on the best price available, however when displaying the best price, the industry spectacularly fails to be open, honest and transparent with the consumer, generally not defining what is exactly included or excluded along with what may become a mandatory purchase at the counter.
We want to change this, and have taken the bold first step to redefine the car rental sector by launching a pioneering new 'one brand, multi-product' proposition to offer greater ease, flexibility, openness and transparency to customers. We have simply passed the choice back to the customer who, via our multi-product proposition, can simply choose the product that is right for them in terms of inclusions, mileage, and the cost of excesses and deposits.
So, if you are looking for a car hire experience where you can enjoy great prices, but avoid any surprises at the counter, then choose the multi-product from Green Motion.
Each one of our multi-products has been designed to give you the hire experience that you want to receive, whether that be the best rate of the day or a product that gives you a higher or unlimited mileage and lower or zero excess. Please see below each one of our product descriptions along with a short video giving further explanation. You will note when searching for the best price on Green Motion you will see each product displayed side by side allowing you to easily decide which one is right for you.
Our Basic package is ideal if you are looking for the best value in terms of price, if you are not travelling too far and you are sure that your plans won't change as Basic. Our basic package cannot be amended, cancelled or refunded but in return offers a great price for car rental. Please note when choosing Green Motion Basic you are required to cover a high excess and deposit which will be fully displayed when searching for the car of your choice. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept debit cards and a credit card will be required.
If you're looking for a little more flexibility for possible amendments or cancellation, then our Plus+ package will be your best option. With Plus+ you also benefit from a lower deposit and excess alongside cancellation line with the Terms and Conditions. The required excess and deposit will be displayed when searching for the price when you go through the booking process, with no hidden fees. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept debit cards and a credit card will be required.
As you can see, we have worked hard to deliver an open and transparent way of selecting your next car rental, but we want you to get even more out of your car rental experience. We pride ourselves on offering you fantastic value for money while lending a helping hand to the environment, but in order for you to get the very best from your rental we would ask you to pay special attention to our Terms & Conditions and ensure that you have the necessary identification and paperwork prior to your arrival at your chosen Green Motion location. Please also note we do not accept debit cards and require a valid credit card in the driver’s name.
In addition, prior to the start of your rental it is really important that you take the time and trouble to ensure that the condition of your vehicle is correctly illustrated on either your Rental Agreement and / or the Vehicle Condition Report (VCR) as once you have signed for the condition of the vehicle you may be liable for any damages and this could lead to additional charges. Once again for your further peace of mind we recommend that you take photographs of your hire vehicle showing the registration / plate number, with particular reference to the wheels and tyres as these are one of the most commonly damaged areas of the vehicle.
For further assistance we have produced a brief animation illustrating the most common damage areas of the vehicle (our damage hotspots) and a customer vehicle inspection video to make sure that nothing is missed.
Remember, up to 20% of our hire customers can experience some form of damage during the time they have their rental vehicle. Damage to the vehicle sometimes is not caused by you or anyone with you, but can happen when the vehicle is left alone such as another vehicles door catching it in a car park. Therefore it is important that you fully check the condition of your vehicle before commencing your hire, and total peace of mind we recommend our Premium Plus product which comes with a zero excess.
