A power cut at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport yesterday has led to a partial shut-down.
The shut-down has affected tens of thousands of people, with passengers being left in darkened terminals or on-board planes.
Power has now been restored but there has been more than 1,000 flight cancellations.
It is believed that the power cut was caused by a fire at an underground electrical facility with a piece of its switchgear failed, sparking the fire which caused the cable damage.
