British Airways have apologised to their passengers who have been delayed due to an IT malfunction affecting check-in desks.
Passengers have complained of being delayed at check-in, the baggage drop and also while waiting for their flight to take-off.
The airline has advised that while customers are still able to check-in at the airport, it is taking longer than usual and have been steering customers to checking-in online instead.
Customers from the US and Canada also reported delays yesterday due to the IT malfunction.
The malfunction seems to have occurred during an upgrade of the airline's systems which led to the prolonged waiting and queues.
