After previously pledging to withdraw from the Paris Agreement to combat global climate change, Donald Trump has now stated that he has an “open mind” regarding American’s involvement in the agreement.

When asked by the New York Times whether he would pull out of the Paris Agreement, which was signed by 196 countries, Trump said that he was still looking at the agreement.

The president-elect has, in the past, stated that climate change is just a hoax and an expensive form of tax.

Trump’s defence is that he is considering how the agreements will impact businesses.
