Happy Earth Day from Green Motion: Driving Positive Change Through Sustainable Mobility

Earth Day, celebrated every year on 22 April, is a global movement dedicated to raising awareness of environmental challenges and encouraging action to protect the planet. First established in 1970, it has grown into one of the largest environmental events in the world, uniting more than 190 countries in efforts to address issues such as climate change, pollution, deforestation, and the loss of biodiversity. It is a day that not only highlights the importance of environmental protection but also inspires individuals, businesses, and communities to take meaningful steps towards a more sustainable future. 

As Earth Day 2026 is marked around the world, Green Motion joins this global call to action by reaffirming our commitment to more responsible and sustainable mobility. In recognition of this year’s Earth Day theme, Our Power, Our Planet, we are reminded that collective action can drive meaningful change for a more sustainable future, and that how people travel plays an important role in shaping environmental outcomes as we continue to support lower-emission and fuel-efficient vehicle options across our international network.

We are also proud to share that Green Motion has recently been recognised at the Green World Awards 2026, receiving the award for “Global Climate Action Through Sustainable Mobility,” presented by the Green Organisation. This recognition reflects the ongoing efforts across our franchise network to support meaningful progress in reducing the environmental impact of transportation and travel.

Alongside our operational commitments, we are equally proud of the initiatives that extend beyond our fleet. Through our Green Heart programme, customers and partners can directly support environmental and community-focused projects that help create positive, lasting impact.
