Google alleging that their self-driving technology was stolen by Uber

Waymo, the self-driving car company owned by Alphabet (Google’s parent company) has filed a suit against Uber.

They are alleging that the ride-share company has engaged in the theft of their self-driving technology.

The lawsuit was filed in the US San Francisco district court and contains allegations that a former Waymo employee intentionally stole the company’s technology and trade secrets before leaving to start his own business, Otto which was acquired by Uber in August 2016 (reportedly for $680m).
