Green Motion International has achieved a Silver Award from Green Tourism, the largest and most established sustainable certification programme in the world, following their Bronze Award in 2018.
Green Tourism Awards are credited to businesses that work responsibly, ethically and sustainably, contribute to their community, reduces their impact on the environment and aims to be accessible and inclusive to all customers and staff.
To achieve accreditation, Green Motion's International head office was graded by a qualified Assessor against a rigorous set of criteria, covering a range of areas such as energy and water efficiency, waste management, biodiversity and social involvement and communication. Green Motion built on improvements to recycling processes, as well as making improvements to water and waste reduction, they also scored particularly highly in the 'Innovation' category, demonstrating their willingness to think outside the box when it comes to operating sustainably.
Green Tourism Assessor Lisa Wilson said, "Green Motion International have done a excellent job at achieving a Silver Green Tourism award following on from their first Green Check call. There has been some exciting changes since the initial Green Check call in 2018."
Green Motion CEO & Founder Richard Lowden said, "Green Motion has always worked hard to reduce the impact of our business on the environment and we are absolutely thrilled that our efforts have once again been recognised on our second assessment by Green Tourism - we look forward to achieving Gold status in the very near future."
