The Green Organisation, which was officially launched in 1994 in the United Kingdom, continues its quest to celebrate all things green in business and local and national governments with the celebration of its annual awards ceremony for the Green Apple Awards which took place this year in London at the iconic Houses of Parliament. Environmentally focused car rental company Green Motion picked up the award for Environmental Best Practice within the transport sector.

The award was accepted by Green Motion’s Founder & CEO Richard Lowden who said, "We are genuinely overjoyed, not only to be nominated for the prestigious Green Apple Award again this year but to have won for the third year in a row. This recognition comes as a result of the environmental success of their lowering CO2 emissions project, which won an International Green Apple Environment Award 2016 and 2017. They also were presented with The Green World Environmental Award earlier this year at a glittering awards ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey.

As a result of that success, they are having their winning paper published in The Green Book, the world’s only annual work of reference on environmental best practice that is distributed to environment professionals, universities and libraries around the world by The Green Organisation.

The Green Apple Awards are one of the few environmental schemes in Britain that have official status to act as an automatic feeder scheme into the European campaign.
