Green Motion is delighted to announce that they have been awarded the World Travel & Tourism Council Safe Travels Stamp.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) which represents the global Travel & Tourism private sector unveiled last month a range of new worldwide measures to restart the sector, designed to rebuild confidence among consumers so they can travel safely once restrictions are lifted.

The Safe Travels Stamp is the WTTC's "Global Safety Stamp of Approval to Recognise Safe Travels Protocols".

The specially designed stamp will allow travellers to recognise governments and companies around the world which have adopted health and hygiene global standardised protocols.

Gloria Guevara, WTTC President & CEO, said: “Coordination and alignment within the Travel & Tourism sector is vital to ensure that robust global measures are put in place to help rebuild confidence and which are jointly embraced by the governments and private sector.

“We are delighted that for the first time ever, the global private sector has aligned around these new Safe Travels protocols which will create consistency across the sector.”

The Green Motion COVID-19 Shield Customer & Staff Safety protocols include the installation of protective screens, intensive vehicle and location sanitisation processes, provision of masks / face shields and gloves for staff, as well as provision of sanitising gels and wipes for customers. Each Green Motion car rental location also has strict social distancing measures in place, reinforced by floor stickers and signage.
