The team at Green Motion International head office raised an amazing £367 for Comic Relief last week, with funds being raised by activities such as the 'Great Green Motion Bake Off', the 'Green Motion Red Nose Day Quiz', 'The Green Motion Red Nose Day Raffle', as well as by selling Red Nose Day noses, wristbands and headbands.
Green Motion CEO and Founder Richard Lowden said, "I am incredibly proud of our team's community spirit in raising money for Comic Relief. This is a charity that does wonderful things helping people in the UK and around the world, and we are delighted to be able to make our contribution to the huge amounts of money raised across the country for Red Nose Day last week.
"The cash raised through the raffle, bake off and quiz, coupled with the £100+ for Red Noses, wristbands and so on means that we actually raised nearly £500 - this is a fantastic achievement."
As well as the raffle prize of a surprise night away with dinner for two, kindly donated by Richard himself, there was also the much coveted 'Best Baker' prize to be won, with the team donating money to sample their colleague's cakes and voting for their favourite. There was also prizes for the winners of the Green Motion Red Nose Day Quiz, again donated by Green Motion International.
Richard continued, "Congratulations to all the prize winners and a big thank you to the whole team at GMI for your enthusiasm, participation and generosity, we raised a fantastic amount of money for a really great cause."
