Environmentally focused car rental brand Green Motion has launched in Zanzibar, continuing its impressive expansion in Africa and the Middle East.
Green Motion Zanzibar was acquired by local entrepreneur Abeid Ali Abdalla who currently operates an independent car rental brand in the country. Inspired by Green Motion's success in countries such as Kenya and Morocco, Abeid acquired the rights for the Green Motion brand in order to pursue his objective of taking his business to the next level with the support of an international brand.
Richard Lowden, Green Motion Founder & CEO said, "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Abeid and his team to the Green Motion family, and I am immensely proud that despite the challenges that we as a brand and the travel sector as a whole have faced this year, we are continuing to expand and grow, opening in several new countries and destinations around the world over the past few months."
"Zanzibar is a stunning holiday destination, and our team there are ready and waiting to provide a safe and enjoyable car rental experience to the increasing number of post-lockdown travelers, as well as new and existing domestic customers."
Green Motion Zanzibar are taking car rental reservations from 1st October 2020 onwards, at Zanzibar International Airport as well as Zanzibar Ferry Terminal, with further rental locations planned to open across the archipelago in due course.
