Your Gateway to Exploring New Zealand's Natural Wonders
Green Motion International, the car rental company, has raised £10,000 for the ‘Friends of Middleton’ charity. The funds have been used to build and furnish a sensory eco-cabin for Middleton School – a school in Hertfordshire for children with special needs including autism, speech, language and communications difficulties.
The eco-cabin has been built in the school grounds, giving the children a quiet sensory room to take time out in.
Green Motion franchisees from across the globe – together with valued car rental partners – came together to raise the money over the last four months, reaching the £10,000 target this week.
Donna Jolly, Headteacher at Middleton School, said: “On behalf of all of the children at Middleton School we would like to thank you so very much for the most generous donations. At a time when school budgets are so tight and when our school is so full it is a perfect gift which will benefit so many children."
Richard Lowden, CEO of Green Motion, said: “‘Friends of Middleton School’ is a cause close to our hearts at Green Motion. The owner of our Stansted Airport Franchise, Matt Jones, has a child at the school and so we’re all acutely aware of the wonderful environment it provides for its pupils. I am immensely proud of the Green Motion family for coming together to make a real difference to the lives of these children.”
Matt Jones, owner of the Green Motion Stansted franchise, presented a cheque to Mrs Donna Jolly, Headteacher of Middleton School, today (6th February 2019).
