The British Asian Trust was founded in 2007 by HRH The Prince of Wales and a group of British Asian business leaders, to tackle widespread poverty, inequality and injustice in South Asia. The trust works directly with communities and focus’ their efforts on education, livelihoods, anti-trafficking and mental health.
As a means to raise the profile of the organisation and due to her passion in the field, singer Katy Perry was recently announced as the newest ambassador of The British Asian Trust. To welcome her and to celebrate the many successes of the trust over the past few years, a fundraising evening was organised at the Whitehall Palace, London.
We are very proud to announce that our Green Motion's Scotland and East Midlands Franchise Owner, Viral Pala, was able to attend the exclusive event after his assistance with the launch of The British Asian Trusts Midlands Chapter, in the city of Leicester here in the United Kingdom. He volunteered a donation of £15,000 to assist the cause which rounded up the events fundraising total to £250,000!
