Hyundai, the Korean carmaker, is wading further into the electric vehicle market, they’ve promised to deliver a car which can go 311 miles / 500km per charge.

While Hyundai already have an EV on the market, its range trails behind its competitors. The brand’s current model, the Ioniq, has a range of 280km which is less than Tesla’s Model 3 and Chevrolet’s Bolt which both have ranges in excess of 350km.

Hyundai, along with its affiliate Kia, is planning to release 31 eco-friendly models by 2020. This move comes amongst the ever increasing competition in the eco-friendly car market.

Hyundai’s new eco models will include 3 plug-in hybrids, 8 battery-powered and 2 fuel-cell vehicles.
