The Norwegian government may be passing a law in the spring which will allow self-driving vehicles to test drive on Norwegian roads.
Norway is actually one of the largest markets for Tesla vehicles, with much of their popularity stemming from generous government subsidiaries.
As well as Norway having a market for electric autonomous vehicles, they are also welcoming the testing of self-driving vehicles in an effort to minimise their use of off-shore companies by, instead, getting their own Norwegian technology companies involved.
Norway’s Ministry of Transport and Communications stated that the government will be releasing a proposal in the spring as they will first need to add a law for autonomous testing to become legal.
