Green Motion awarded the Green World Award 2023
What a win!
People were warned not to drive in London on Monday as air pollution levels in England’s capital city soared.
It appears that the pollution is drifting over to London from France.
The founder and director of Clean Air in London, Simon Birkett, urged London’s mayor to issue an official notice to drivers as moderate to high levels of pollution were forecasted.
When pollution is at moderate levels, adults and children with lung or heart problems should consider restraining from physical activities, particularly outdoors.
The deaths of around 9,000 people a year are caused or directly linked as a result of London’s poor quality of air.
Last Friday, the levels of air pollution were bad enough that parents were advised against taking their babies outside.
The Transport for London has issued travel guidance, urging people to walk or use public transport where possible.
