Prices have been announced for the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell Vehicle

The UK Hyundai Motor group have just announced the price of their new Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell vehicle.

The Hyundai x35 is a zero emission vehicle powered by hydrogen and pricing in the UK will start from £67,985. If this is a bit too expensive for you, some individuals may take advantage of a funding project called HyFive which could save them almost £15,000.

The Hyundai ix35 is the world’s first and currently only mass produced electric vehicle with fuel cell. Technically the car isn’t new - it has been trialled since 2013 and is now in its fourth generation. What is new is that the car is now being put on sale for the mass consumer market.

Currently you are able to order the ix35 in white, white or white - not many colour options but we are sure that these will follow soon. Staggeringly, the ix35 has an electric motor of 100kW (136ps), which will allow it to attain 100mph (160km/h).

Presently, there are only 3 hydrogen filling stations available in the UK that are open to public use however the HyFive project is aiming to add another 3 stations and by the end of 2015 there will be 5 public filling stations in London.

Looking for a new vehicle that will have a positive impact on the environment? The Hyundai ix35 is now available to purchase from Hyundai dealerships.
