Green Motion Car Rental Support MK Afghan families 850x300

Support provided to Milton Keynes Government for Afghan families arriving into the UK

Following the recent evacuation from Afghanistan of Afghan nationals, we were advised that 28 families were relocated to the city of Milton Keynes which is very close to our head office in Woburn, in the UK.

An appeal for help was led by Paul Trendell and Emily Darlington from Milton Keynes local government for items to assist the families who arrived in the United Kingdom having nothing with them other than the clothes on their back.

The request was simply for basic items including clothing, toiletries etc, to allow these families to start their new lives here in the United Kingdom with a little dignity. As you can see from the photo the response from Milton Keynes and the surrounding community was truly overwhelming.

We stepped in to see if we could offer any assistance, and we were pleased to be able to provide support by providing the nappies you see pictured. We would like to thank and congratulate Paul and Emily for their amazing work and for giving these Afghani families the best welcome possible as they start their new beginning.
