The air quality in California while improving is still poor

The air quality in California, while improving, is still poor

While the quality of air in California is improving, it is still poor.

Accordingly to the American Lung Associations recent report, the state and region were labelled a leader in air pollution with the highest ozone levels.

The annual study ranks regions in the US with the worst smog levels, which were Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Fresno – however Salinas was acknowledged as one of the cleanest cities not only in the state but in the country.

The data used was collected from 2013 to 2015, so it is not a true representation of the state in 2017.

The air quality in the state was much better in northern California, however more than 90% of Californians still live in counties with unhealthy levels of polluted air.
