Green Motion awarded the Green World Award 2023
What a win!
The record high global temperatures in 2015 and 2016 reached 1 degree Celsius above pre-industrial levels. They were the direct result of long-term temperature rises attributed to greenhouse gases. In addition, the Arctic was remarkably warm, particularly in 2016.
According to the Met Office Hadley Centre for Climate Science and Services, 2015 and 2016 both saw long-term climate change induced by human activity noting that there are more measures that are a direct result of climate change than just the world warming, from local extremes of temperature and rainfall to an unforeseen drop in the Antarctic sea ice.
