Green motion car hire sunny bank holiday weekend

The UK could have the warmest September day on Tuesday

The UK could have the warmest September day in 55 years tomorrow.

Temperatures are expected to be between 30 – 32 C in the south-east which is just as warm as Bangkok and hotter than LA and Madrid. Scotland will experience a temperature of between 20 – 21 C.

The last time temperatures were above 30 C in September was in 2006, hitting 30.5 C on the 11th of September with the record temperature of 35.6 C in 1906.

The reason for the weather is warm air blowing in from southern France and northern Spain who typically have warmer weather than the Brits.

Britons can expect an above average temperate across the UK for the rest of the week with scattered showers on Thursday and Friday.
