The US airline Southwest had to make an emergency landing yesterday morning

The US airline, Southwest had to make an emergency landing yesterday morning. The flight on a Boeing 737-700 was bound for Orlando, Florida but had to make the emergency landing due to an issue with its engine.

Flight 3472 from New Orleans was diverted to Pensacola, Florida after the pilot noticed that something was amiss with one of its two engines.

The flight landed around 9:40 am CDT with all 99 passengers and 5 crew members arriving safely and without any injuries.

It appears like part of the engine had blown apart however a Southwest spokesman has stated that there wasn’t an explosion. The US Airline is now working with investigators to determine the reason behind the airplanes engine failure.
