Three Croatian destinations make the Forbes top 20 Safest European Destinations

Three Croatian destinations make the Forbes' top 20 Safest European Destinations

According to the influential American magazine Forbes, three Croatian destinations are among the 20 safest and best European destinations for post-coronavirus travel and tourism - Zagreb, Cavtat and Rijeka.

The European Best Destination Organization (EBD) singled out the 20 European destinations least affected by the corona virus, which they propose are the safest and most suitable destinations for travel in the upcoming months.

"The inclusion of three Croatian destinations on the list of the safest European destinations confirms the international status of our country as a high quality and safe tourist destination that has all the prerequisites for safe tourism in the months ahead of us," said CNTB Director Kristjan Stanicic.

Ranked highly in third place on the list is Cavtat, which is described as a favorite destination for celebrities, families, lovers of good gastronomy, culture, nature and water sports. Zagreb was ranked eighth on the EBD list as an ideal city break destination, while Rijeka, the European Capital of Culture in 2020, ranked twelfth on the list.

Green Motion CEO Richard Lowden said, "We are delighted to see so many Green Motion destinations on the Forbes Top 20 list, and particularly Croatia. The Green Motion franchisee in Croatia along with their fellow Green Motion franchisees around the world have been leading the car rental industry in the adoption of our Customer & Staff Safety Procedures, ensuring the safety and well being, and just as importantly, peace of mind, of each and every one of our valued customers.

"Green Motion Croatia is very much looking forward to welcoming travelers to their beautiful country safe in the knowledge that it is one of the safest places to visit in a post covid-19 world."

Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, was ranked first, and the list included destinations in Greece, Croatia, Romania, Montenegro, Poland, Austria, Slovenia, Malta, Lithuania, Latvia and Finland, all of which are part of the Green Motion global network of environmentally focused car rental locations.
