Green Motion awarded the Green World Award 2023
What a win!
United Airlines are attempting to boost profits by selling lower “Basic Economy” fares which won’t let buyers pick their seats ahead of time and will limit passengers to a single carry-on which fits under their seat.
The new saver fares will go on sale in January 2017 for flights from March onwards.
United hope that the saver fares will lure passengers who tend to select carriers like Spirit and Frontier purely on price. Delta Airlines already sales a similar ticket and American Airlines are planning to follow suit.
United have stated that the changes, along with others, will help to increase their profits by $4.8 billion between now and 2020.
