Waymo, Google’s sister company, is returning its fleet of self-driving vehicles

Waymo, Google’s sister company, is returning its fleet of self-driving vehicles called Fireflies.

Instead, Waymo will be putting more focus on their autonomous driving software in vehicles to be mass produced by the major car manufacturers.

Some of the Flirefly prototype cars will end up on display in museums, including the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California – Google’s hometown.

During the Firefly’s lifetime, they have racked up some impressive achievements for the development of autonomous vehicles – such as being the first vehicle to have driven a completely autonomous trip.
