Rich with culture, North Macedonia brings together its Balkan, Mediterranea...
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month is celebrated each year in the month of June to honour the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, when the NYPD raided the Stonewall Inn but the patrons decided to fight back.
We are proud to once again stand by Stonewall and their strategy to create a world where all LGBTQ+ people are free to be, and have made a donation to help them achieve their mission. This donation will help them work towards bans on conversion therapy, laws against hate crimes and hate speech, better guidelines on LGBTQ+ asylum claims, and legal recognition that respects and protects individuals and their relationships.
This year unfortunately there are still restrictions in place in many countries around the world, however as places do open up, we send our support to all of the Pride events and marches taking place and wish you a happy and safe celebration. Head on over to our social channels where we will be looking at how different countries around the world take part in, and celebrate, Pride month.
