Fuel stations are readily available in the city and along major highways, but it's wise to monitor your fuel level when traveling to more remote areas of the country.
It's also important to be aware that Costa Rican roads can be narrow and winding, especially in mountainous regions. During the rainy season, road conditions can deteriorate, and visibility can decrease, so extra caution is advised.
