Green Motion expands in the African continent with the sale of the new master country franchise for Botswana

The eco-friendly rental company expands further into Africa, this time in Botswana

Here we go again! Another big step for Green Motion expansion.

Following the successful acquisition and onward operation of their Master Franchise for South African territory, father and son duo Brian and Mark Hartmann have now acquired a new Master Country Franchise in Botswana. This is their second Green Motion business undertaking and they’re planning for it to be as equally successful. This shows a clear example of how Green Motion approaches strategic partnerships, it does so with the perspective of wanting to create better business relationships. This also means that the senior management of Green Motion is thinking about what they can do for the joint venture to give it more value.

The tourism industry is a huge factor in Botswana, and it’s largely centred around wildlife and wilderness tourism, which are the country’s principal tourist attraction, amounting to more than 200 million US dollars in sales and attracting more than 2 million tourists per year.

Lowden said "It is tremendous when an existing trusted and respected Master Country Franchise takes the decision to continue the growth of their business in partnership with Green Motion, opening a neighbouring country. I wish Brian, Mark and their entire family every success with the development of the Green Motion brand in Botswana."

Being the 3rd new Master Franchise added for Green Motion in the last ten days, this rapid expansion shows the strength and recognizability of the Green Motion brand in the international market. Luckily, beginning of next month Green Motion will be available for further potential partnerships at the world renowned WTM in London.
