Green Motion is always looking for ways to give back to the community. Therefore, it is no surprise that when Leicester businessman, Pratik, approached our Green Motion Leicester City Centre location with a way to help support Leicester South Food Bank, they jumped at the chance.
Pratik, who is part of the Lilu restaurant in Leicester and Not Just The Corner Shop Campaign, has been working with wholesalers to provide food to those in need during the COVID-19 crisis, with all proceeds going to Leicester South Food Bank.
As part of their donation, Green Motion Leicester City Centre have provided him with a van to help him quickly and easily reach those in need.
In these unprecedented times, it is more important than ever that we all band together and support each other, whilst following government guidelines regarding social distancing. With many people across the world particularly susceptible to this virus, it has left many people trapped in their homes with limited access to essentials, such as food. This is why projects such as this are vital to the community and will save lives.
Green Motion Leicester are no strangers to charity, at the end of January, they donated £2,100 to the Abbey Mead Primary School to assist with their environmental initiatives.
Further to their charitable contributions, Green Motion have been working extremely hard to provide vehicles to key workers. Public transport presents an unnecessary risk for those who need to travel to get to work, such as the NHS. In response to this, Green Motion are offering 50% off to all front-line workers, which can be booked through our website.
Green Motion would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who is working hard to get us through this crisis. Whether you are an essential worker, volunteering in the local community or just doing your part by staying home and stopping the spread of this awful virus, we appreciate everything that you are doing. By staying apart right now, we are ensuring that we will all be able to enjoy life tomorrow.
