International car rental company Green Motion confirmed today that the continued expansion of their international network remains on track with the announcement of the sale of their Master Country Franchise for Portugal.

The Franchise was acquired by one of the biggest dealer groups in Portugal, M. COUTINHO RENT - ALUGUER DE AUTOMÓVEIS, LDA.

The first Portuguese location is now open supporting Lisbon International Airport.

The team in Portugal is now taking enquiries for a limited number of premium territory franchises available for both airport and downtown and city locations which will contribute to the further expansion of the Green Motion brand throughout Portugal.

Portugal has enjoyed tremendous recent growth, seeing an increase in visitors to the country of 13% in the first half of last year alone. As well as looking at locations in the key areas of Lisbon, Porto, and the Algarve, Green Motion is also looking for franchise representation on the island of Madeira.
